This letter expresses our organization’s full support and appreciation for our trusted and respected community partner, SecUrban Living.
They were referred to our non-profit organization after we had some major security issues with several of our 19 properties throughout the Franklinton and central Hilltop neighborhoods. Being a not-for-profit, we operate under a tight budget and were looking for a quality, but cost-effective security solution. From our first meeting, we found SecUrban Living to be well researched in best practices and professionalism and very practical in their consulting and installation of surveillance cameras on all our properties. What we have found incredibly helpful is their support as a liaison between us and law enforcement. We have had several instances where major crimes (charged, convicted, and sentenced felonies ranging from armed robberies, aggravated assault, rape, homicide) have been committed on or near our premises. Besides crime reporting and prevention, the cameras have saved lives as they have alerted us to several incidents where individuals were overdosing in alleys and getting them life-saving help.
We are a faith-based not-for-profit organization. We have 3 supportive housing programs (recovery, reentry, and family stabilization housing) and two youth enrichment programs located in Franklinton and Hilltop neighborhoods of Columbus’ westside. Our partnership with SecUrban Living has proven invaluable. They have helped us with abatement in a major illegal dumping issue at our newest property ($2.5M renovated childcare facility) to identifying arson and homicide suspects with our camera footage.
SecUrban Living’s commitment to creating safer communities has been evident in all our interactions with them. A major part of their compassionate work for justice comes from the fact that the leadership lives in the community where they serve. We are very grateful for their partnership and look forward to sustaining a collaborative partnership with them.
